EuRailCo, european rail transport specialist

EuRailCo specializes in operating and providing technical assistance for local and regional passenger rail transport. It also aims to supply organizing authorities with services to complete operating.

Created in 2003 within an equal share partnership between RATP Développement and TRANSDEV, EuRailCo combines both companies’ expertise in the realm of multi-mode transport networks and their command of different rail modes.

European implantation...

Present namely in Great Britain, Germany and France, EuRailCo targets European markets for regional passenger rail transport. By capitalizing their unique experience - due to the operation and maintenance of a total fleet of over 1 100 heavy rail vehicles, 3 550 metro carriages, more than 500 tramways, and 11 000 busses - EuRailco can efficiently operate integrated multi-mode networks of all sizes.

EuRailCo’s service focuses on providing organizing authorities with regional or local rail transport suiting their requirements and offering the best possible service for the best cost, with constant care for passengers and respect for each region’s economic, social and environmental aims.

EuRailCo draws on its daily experience of regional line operating to implement innovative solutions adapted to the local needs of its clients and to guarantee passengers travel in excellent comfort and security conditions:
- active participation in implementation and development of local transport plans
- integrated multi-mode networks of all sizes
- state-of-the-art rail services (automatic trains without drivers, high capacity rolling stock) and/or made-to-measure (trains responding to precise characteristics regarding the amount of doors or carriages)
- modern and innovative infrastructure equipment (ticket machines, real time information systems, station development, catering services, etc.)

TRANSREGIO AND MITTELRHEINBAHN IN RHÉNANIE-PALATINAT

In Germany, in 2004, EuRailCo Gmbh bought 75% of TransRegio that currently operates three services contracts on regional passenger lines in the Rhénanie-Palatinat region. TransRegio trains run on tracks belonging to DB-Netz (national rail company) who ensures maintenance and receives all toll income.

In 2006, EuRailCo won the “MittelRheinBahn” bid for offers, whose operating market will begin at the end of 2008 and will complete TransRegio’s services offer in this region. EuRailCo presently focuses on investing (purchasing equipment, developing workshops).
