Equival 87 : developing the image of public transport and its use in Haute-Vienne
The plc Équival 87 was created in 2000 to manage ticketing in the department of Haute-Vienne. It signed a seven-year contract with the regional council.
Équival 87 is in charge of:
- ticketing management, from manufacturing tickets to the distribution of receipts
- commercial management: urban and interurban ticket sales involving various distribution methods (agencies, network of agents and mail orders)
- customer relations and the after-sales service
- managing school subscriptions for the Limoges Métropole agglomeration
- suggesting and piloting dynamic actions to promote public transport throughout the department
Comfort and services at the heart of inter-mode transport
In 2005, Équival 87 brought together a network of 25 agents. The company also contributes to the success of C.I.E.L (centre intermodal d’échange de Limoges - Limoges inter-mode exchange center). This complete inter-mode center focuses on customer-passenger comfort and services, as well as commercial animation of the transport network. The C.I.E.L takes part in the area’s main cultural and leisure events.
Equival Haute-Vienne also set up a mobility center: an Internet site [www.equival87.fr] allowing passengers to look up their itineraries on the department network, a phone information center and an information office at the business agency.
For the Haute-Vienne department, Equival also manages a reservation center for disabled people to book transport on request (Handicar 87).
